Live Webinars
Live Webinars for Mental Health Continuing Education
Professional Psych Seminars (PPS) has been offering high quality continuing education classes for mental health professionals since 1996. What makes us unique is not only the quality of our courses, but the entire experience of taking a class from us. This starts when you register for a class, which is done online. You will reach a live person to talk to during regular business hours, not an automated message or voicemail.
We have replaced our live in-person classes with live, online webinars. The webinar is a live, interactive class. You will view the webinar in real time from your home or office on a computer, tablet (e.g., iPad) or phone. You will be able see the speaker and the slides, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and respond to polls. You will have access to the handouts, which you can view on your computer or download and print.
You will need to show up on time to receive credit, just like at an in-person class, but you can wear whatever you’d like! The class will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Pacific Time. There will be a morning and afternoon break and a break for lunch. At the end of the class you will need to take a post-test and receive a score of 75% or above to pass. You have up to three attempts to pass the post-test. Most people pass on their first attempt. After two attempts to pass the post-test you will need to contact our office and you will be provided with one more attempt to pass the post-test. The post-test will only be available at the end of the class. Once you pass the post-test, you will complete an evaluation online and then you will receive your Live Webinar Course Certification Letter online, which you can view and print. The steps are very simple:
- Sign up and purchase a Live Webinar class
- You will be emailed a confirmation letter and receipt
- The link for the webinar will be in your www.psychsem.com online account.
- We use the program Zoom for our live webinars.
- Thirty minutes before the webinar, the webinar link in your PsychSem account becomes “live.” If you are having any technical issues, we have staff to assist you.
- You can dial in on the phone or use your computer speakers for audio.
- You will view the presenter and slides in real time and can ask the presenter questions.
- All handouts will be available to view or print on your www.psychsem.com account.
- The post-test will be available in your www.psychsem.com account at the end of the webinar. After you pass the test, complete the evaluation and print your certificate.
