Treating Anxiety in a Post-Pandemic World

Therapists have always needed practical skills to treat anxiety disorders, but the pandemic added problems such as long-COVID, cave syndrome and ambient anxiety that significantly raised rates of anxiety. This pragmatic webinar will explore the latest research on how neurobiology underlies the symptoms of anxiety – both the familiar and the new post-COVID anxieties. It will focus on practical methods that relieve symptoms of generalized anxiety, panic, and social anxiety disorders, to increase each clinician’s repertoire for handling these disorders. This class will examine the pros, cons, and challenges of teletherapy in the treatment of anxiety disorders, so that these evidence-based methods can help your clients cope in this post-pandemic world.
