Principles of EMDR Therapy: Research, Neurobiology and Clinical Applications

Have you wanted to know more about EMDR Therapy? Are you considering getting trained in EMDR or just want to know when to refer your clients for EMDR therapy? This webinar will (1) review the main principles and the model that informs EMDR Therapy; (2) examine new ways to view trauma and assess for adverse life events that may be behind a client’s stuck points; and (3) use neurobiology to activate components of memory to track disturbance as well as resources. Participants will leave with a better understanding of memory, trauma, neurobiology, cultural considerations, and practical applications for use in clinical practice. This is an introduction to EMDR. Training in EMDR Therapy requires a separate 50-hour course, and certification as an EMDR therapist requires additional training.
