Effective Integrative Counseling and Psychotherapy

This webinar focuses on how to effectively integrate techniques from a wide variety of evidenced-based schools of psychotherapy. Based on Dr. Bishop's recently published book Modern Integrative Counseling and Psychotherapy: A Step-by-Step Approach (2024), this class will guide clinicians on how to systematically and sequentially integrate multiple research-based approaches in psychotherapy and treatment planning. The course will address practical ways that clinicians can incorporate research from neuroscience, genetics, and mindfulness, and provide examples of ways to structure sessions and utilize strategic homework between sessions. There will be a discussion on ways to integrate alternative activities, including religious practices and other healing methods.
