This seminar meets the new requirements for Suicide Prevention Training for California psychologists and the Washington State suicide prevention training requirement for health professionals too. This course will describe three ways to understand the crisis process of preventing suicide. It will also discuss five outdated beliefs of suicide prevention as well as talk about three critical factors to consider when providing assessment and intervention with veterans. Lastly, it will describe the six steps to take to create a suicide safety plan. Instructor Susan Marie, Ph.D., PMHNP, has over 30 years of prescriptive practice experience and specializes in psychopharmacology for complex patients.
